Jackie had to say...Hi, I am a 51 yr old married SAHM. I have two children, Daniel is 16 and Steph is 15. We also have 3 fur babies. Alex (aka Woobie) is about 11. Benni will be 6 this November and we have a new addition to our household Jasmine who is about 1 year now. Benni is a Pappion/Poodle mix and he's such a funny and really smart puppy. I have been married for 22 yrs and it gets better and better every year! I've just had to up date this profile since my children are each a year older then when I first posted this and I've been married a year longer. On a sad note, we've lost two of our fur babies in 2006. Sasha Marie and Piglet went to go be with the Lord in puppy and kitty heaven. I live in Central Pa but was born and raised in New Jersey. So yes, I am a Jersy girl but I've lived in Pa for the past 21 yrs. I love the Lord, cross stitching and reading! I also love yard sales and thrift stores too. I collect pigs, and angels. I have started to use some air freshener's in my house lately. I use the Air Wick ones so refils are always nice to have. Mostly any scent except the Vanilla ones. I'm not much of an alcohol drinker at all. Maybe a wine cooler every so often. Hubby likes wine with his dinner occasionally and beer or two on a Friday night or after he's mowed the lawn on a really hot day. A case of beer lasts him about a year! The only allergies I can think of is sometimes with candles the really strong scented ones tend to make my throat a bit scratchy. I like purses but I only own black so some other colors might be nice. I like a lot of compartments in my bags and I have a really big wallet so that has to fit. I have a cosmetic bag for home but not one for travel. I just started getting into different smelling body washes from Bath and Body works. I absoluetly love their Winter Candy Apple scent but I can only get that in October. It's one of their Christmas scents and everytime I try to get there early enough to buy it, it's been sold out. Last year I went in November since they just get it in in October and it was gone! I've had about a quarter of a bottle left that I've been savoring now for the past two years! I only use it sometimes. That's why I've been spreading my wings a bit and trying other scents. So I'm not really sure exactly what I like just yet. Anything but Vanilla scents would be nice. I do like the clear lip gloss froom N.Y.C. that I put over my lip stick to make it shiney. I can't really explain the color lip sticks I wear because it varies with my mood. The types of parfumes I've been wearing is Odyssey from Avon and Fresh White Musk Fantasy by Body Fantasies. I drink only decafe drinks. I live on decafe iced tea all year long and if you're ever in a thrift store and they have the Mr. Coffee Ice Tea maker pots, the tall ones I collect them since the makers are older now and they don't really sell those pots anymore. After a while they break and I go nuts looking for them. I also like Dasni water plain and I like flavored waters but not the sparkling kind. I'm not much of a soda drinker and I drink hot chocolate sometimes in the winter with mini marshmello's. My birthday is March 8th. I love candles but again the really strong ones tend to hurt my throat but I love blackberry, and rose. Anything like that. Again please no vanilla. I'm up for trying different scents, florals are always good as are the apple pie, and cookie ones. I like most scents except for vanilla and I'm not much of a coconut fan either. We also have a wood burning stove and we always keep a pot of water on it when the stove is on so any liquid scents are nice too, like the woodsy scents or really anything just no vanilla. I don't know what a tart burner is but I'd be willing to learn. We can always use the really long matches to start the wood stove or the fireplace and candles. The long lighters are really good too and we can always use them as well. I love dark chocolate candy. I think dove has to be my favorite beside the hershey's kisses. I love them in milk or dark. I usally try to keep the dove little chocolates in my dresser drawer for those times when you have to have chocolate or you'll kill someone! I was out shopping one day and my daughter called me on my cell phone and said "Mom?, I need chocolate and I need it now!" So I had to tell her where my stash was. Like mother like daughter huh? LOL I love chocolate covered pretzels and I like the plain ones too. My favorites are Snyders Old Tyme. I collect pigs (but only ones with really cute faces) and angels. I'm not sure just how many pigs I have all over my house I just know it's a lot! I also collect angels. I have a place to put some small ones or Christmas ornaments are always good too. My Hobbies include: Cross Stitching when I can get my head into it.and I love my computer, which is where I spend a good lot of my time and reading. I'm not a very creative person for a hairdresser so I'm not all that great with crafts, although I love them. I'd love to learn how to knit, crochet and quilt. I have many favorite colors however some of my least favorties are yellow, orange and dark greens. In pastels I love all colors. My home is made up of a hodgepodge of things. I don't really need anymore dust collectors since I"ve managed to fill my house up already. I'd like to get rid of some of the stuff I already have. Well with the exception of my pigs and angels. I'm not a big frame person. We have pictures of our kids on the wall and they're already framed. We don't have a lot of space for picutes, although in my upstairs family room there is a top part of the wall where you come up the stairs that's cut out with a shelf and I do put family pictures on there. So I guess some 5x7 frames might be nice. I have really long hair so scrunchies are always welcome. Any kind any color, they'll all get worn. Jewelery: wrist is 7in, I like 16in necklaces. Gold or silver. My wedding band is gold but you can always mix and match these days. I wear size XL in tee-shirts and I'm not much of a cap or hat type person. I'm a size 6 shoe, and in the summer I only wear flip flops or I'm bare footed. In the winter I run around in my socks, even outside! Now my kids have gotten into that habit too and boy is it hard to get their socks clean! LOL Hubby does it now too. My reading habits have change a lot since joining PBS. I've been reading a lot of different authors that I otherwise wouldn't even know about if it weren't for PBS. I have many favorite authors because my tastes keep changing over the years. But since getting into Chick Lit, that has become my new favorite genre. I also love Cozy Mysteries. I have not read any of the Harry Potter books but my son has. Not a huge fan I guess, I didn't even see all the movies. I do love Jonny Depp though and have both of the Pirate's of the Carribian movies and when the third comes out on video I will buy that one too. For Christmas my daughter bought me a bigger then lifesize cut out of Jonny Depp in the part! I love it! If you'd like some book idea's for me you can always go to my library site http://www.librarything.com/catalog/stevielyn, if you click on the tab up top you'll see a link for book I need. They are not all wish listed books just books I'd like to finish a series. Or books I'd like to read also. It's a great way for me to keep track of everything I have and what I need. Music I like is mostly Christian artists such as: Casting Crowns, Barlow Girl, Zoe Girl, Plum and a bunch of other's that have escaped my mind at the moment. As far as DVD's go, I don't buy a lot of them because I'm not one to rewatch movies a lot. I love the Land Before Time Movies and I would love to get the earlier ones on DVD eventually. Disney Movies. Oh and I do like the same movies as my 14 yr old daughter. Like Bring It On, Hillary Duff Movies and themes like that. I have two kids, Daniel is almost 17 and Steph is 15. They like just about anything. Steph also has really long hair so we share our scrunchies. We could use some dark green ones for her soccer games since their colors are green and white. Take care and be blessed.
